10/15/2008 - Letter from Georgia Hi Mark, Just wanted to let you know we launched a new club this morning at Temple Middle School in Temple Ga. We hit one major snag as our group was so large we outgrew the assigned classroom on the first day. Sixty students and eight adults showed up. How awesome is that!!! Immediately after our meeting the principal took the adults to the band room and asked if this much larger space would work for next week. Of course we said yes and thanked him and he left us there. As we talked and planned next how to announce the change we heard the principal over the intercom making the morning announcements. I jokingly told the other adults, "Maybe he'll report the numbers for this morning." He did just that as he announced the move to the band room and invited everyone to attend next week. It doesn't get much better than this. Needless to say, we are looking forward to next week with anticipation. God Bless, David |
